Our Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a home improvement center that sells new and still usable goods to the public at a fraction of retail cost. Frederick ReStore resells overstocked, discontinued and used quality building materials, home imprvement items and furnishings donated by individuals, suppliers and contractors. Frederick ReStore promotes environmental responsibility by making materials available for reuse. The revenues generated by sales help build more Habitat homes for hardworking families in the Frederick community.

How does the Frederick ReStore Home Improvement Center benefit the Frederick community?
- ReStore offers new and used building materials, appliances, household items and furniture to the public at a fraction of retail cost.
- ReStore provides individuals and businesses a place to donate usable items, and they may be eligble for a tax deduction.
- ReStore promotes conservation by diverting tons of still usable materials away from local landfills. More than 40% of landfill space across the country is filled with construction materials.
- ReStore sells donated goods to the public to raise funds to build more Habitat homes for hardworking families in need in the Frederick Community. Many ReStores across the nation generate enough sales to build many Habitat houses each year, Frederick ReStore hopes to have, with your help, that success in the future.

What kinds of materials does the ReStore accept and sell?
ReStore accepts a wide variety of materials. You can see them and make a donation here: ReStore Donations.
How can I volunteer?
We schedule volunteers for the ReStore on a case by case basis. Volunteers are expected to commit multiple days of service. It is perfect for fulfilling county regulated community service hours. To become a volunteer, you need to contact Christa Palmer, Assistant Manager, at 301-662-2988.
Who does ReStore of Frederick serve?
As the first ReStore in Western Maryland, it serves people in Maryland and the three adjoining states. This includes homeowners who want to donate materials and those who want to buy quality materials at a greatly reduced price. We also provide builders and contractors an outlet for overstocked or slightly damaged materials.
