Habitat’s lifeblood is its partners: individuals, businesses and churches in Frederick Habitat seeks to engage others in improving this community by providing affordable housing. This is how Habitat makes its mission of working “in partnership with God and people everywhere from all walks of life” a reality. Thanks to the hardwork of our individual, business and church partners, we are making home ownership possible for many families in need. Businesses
Support from the Frederick business community has been the rock of Habitat's success. This support takes many forms. Some larger companies have provided outright grants or interest-free loans to help fund projects. Smaller businesses continue to donate specialized skills and services in the construction of the homes, and in providing support for the volunteer workers. In addition, many companies have allowed employees to work on company time on building projects they underwrite or help support. Learn more about our partnership with Frederick businesses. Churches Many Frederick County churches support Habitat as part of their outreach. Some make regular or periodic donations. Other congregations take on building a Habitat home from start to finish by raising the funds and recruiting the workers. Work teams from churches regularly help at Habitat construction sites.
