Habitat for Humanity Sleep Out

April 5 at 7:00 pm- April 6 at 5:30 am

This year Habitat of Humanity of Frederick County, invites you to advocate for affordable housing in Frederick County. Participants will sleep over night in cardboard boxes to show their support for the organization and show the community what the importance of affordable housing means to them as an individual.

This event will take place at the amphitheater on Carroll Creek downtown Frederick, April 5th at 7:00pm - April 6th at 5:30am.  Registration begins Monday February 20, 2012 and closes Friday March 23, 2012. Late registrations will take place on site at 7:00pm until 7:30pm.

Because we are making a statement of poverty and the lack of affordable housing, we are spending the night with minimal accommodations, like many in Frederick County. With this in mind, please leave any luxury items at home (i.e. ipods, mp3 players, ipads, laptops, nooks, kindle, etc.). You may keep your cell phone for emergency calls only and a camera to document the event.
